I didn’t create a poll for people to vote this week, but thought everyone would like this recipe. This is one of my Mom’s favorite recipes and one of the best desserts. I hope you enjoy it. :)
1 cup melted butter
2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 cup powdered sugar
Combine the butter, flour, and powdered sugar in a medium bowl.
Make sure your are moist when you pat the crust in a 9 by 13 cooking sheet.
Bake at 325F for 25 minutes.
4 tablespoons of fresh lemon juice
1 3/4 to 2 cups of granulated sugar (depending on how sweet you want it)
4 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
Zest of 1 lemon
Mix the flour, baking powder, sugar, eggs, and lemon zest together.
Top the baked crust and bake for 35 minutes at 325F.
1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 teaspoon lemon juice
1 1/2 teaspoons milk
3 tablespoons melted butter
Combine the ingredients and top the CHILLED lemon bars.
